Meet & Greet

Before your meet and greet, you will receive an initial screening phone call. This call will allow us to determine if we will be a good fit for you, your pet, needs, and expectations before scheduling a meet and greet.

While we love all breeds of dogs, not every dog is suited for our open plan and unleashed environment. We take our guests safety seriously so we require all new pets and pet parents to complete a meet and greet session. Typically, the meeting lasts for thirty minutes and both pet owners and sitters agree upon the rate, reservation time, and if we are a fit for your dog’s needs. Once agreed, you will be set up on our scheduling portal and you will be provided instructions on how to request a reservation. The session allows us to collect vaccination records, complete paperwork, and meet our new clients. The meet and greet is important so that we may observe your dog’s behaviors and interactions with people and other pets. The meet and greet is at no cost to the owner. Be sure to tell the sitters about your dog’s temperament, feeding and living situation so we can match them to the perfect accommodations! Certain breeds, health conditions, and arrangements may be outside of our scope. While we accept dogs at all ages and levels of play, we will observe their behavior during each stay. If your dog does great with humans and prefers single play, this can be arranged. We proudly welcome families with multiple dogs! This process is easy and stress free and we look forward to meeting you and your dog.

What to bring to your Meet and Greet:

When you arrive for your Meet and Greet, please have your dog(s) on a leash. We greatly appreciate you completing the online paperwork prior to your arrival. We will review medication needs, vaccination records, and review any feeding requirements.

Dogs who stay in our residence must meet the following criteria:

·       Completed Meet and Greet

·       12 weeks or older

·       Proof of vaccination records. Vaccinations must be given no less than seven days prior to your stay

·       In general, good health

·       Not been ill with any communicable condition in the last 30 days or exposed to other pets with communicable conditions in the last 30 days

·       Freshly bathed or groom and free of fleas, kennel/canine cough, or ticks

If your pet has been in contact with other animals with communicable diseases, we will require a note from your veterinarian.

All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective. Pet parents will certify that their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behaviors toward other dogs or people.
